Switch won't turn on or won't charge — power IC repair
Inside the Switch, a small set of chips manages charging and power delivery through the USB-C port. When an unsuitable charger or dock sends the wrong voltage, the charging chip (often called the M92T36) or the power management chip (the BQ24193) can fail. The console then shows no charging icon, gets warm while plugged in, or stays completely dark.
We measure the current the console draws, check for shorts and inspect the power circuit under magnification. Faulty chips are replaced using hot air and precise soldering. Afterwards we confirm proper charging, docked TV output and battery behaviour.
USB-C charging port replacement
A loose cable, a port that only charges at one angle or visible damage inside the port means the USB-C connector needs replacing. We fit a new port and check the power chips behind it, because a damaged port can also damage those parts.
Cracked screen, touch and display faults
We assess cracked glass, dead touch, lines on the display and backlight problems on Switch, OLED and Lite models and explain the repair options for your model.
Game card slot, fan and Joy-Con rail faults
If games are not detected, the fan is noisy or the Joy-Cons no longer click in and connect, we repair or replace the game card reader, clean or replace the fan, and fix worn Joy-Con rails. Joy-Con stick drift is covered on our controller repair page.
